Polyethermide (PEI), often known by the brand name Ultem®, is a common heat-resistant polymer that stays strong and rigid at high temperatures while presenting minimal smoke. Ultem® can be filled with up to 30% glass for improved tensile strength and rigidity. Semi-transparent and resistant to UV and gamma radiation, Ultem® meets UFDA/USDA and USP regulations.
